Melissa’s has been
offering our uniquely creative style of catering to
the Metro Boston community since 1992. From day one,
it has been our goal to offer a top quality product
that is prepared and presented with a personal touch.
We approach every affair as a challenge to provide
our clients with the finest food, service, and presentation
available; whether that be a corporate lunch for 15,
a cocktail party for 50, or a formal wedding for 200.
We are an individually owned company
with a “real” Melissa behind the scenes;
a hands-on owner and manager who is personally involved
with your event from the creation of the menu until
the last dish has been put away. We take pride in
designing and producing an event which is tailored
to fit each client's individual personality and style.
Our food philosophy is simple: fresh
ingredients made-to-order in a simple, straight forward
fashion. Our menus are inspired from Melissa's Southern
background, her love of fresh vegetables, herbs and
spices, an eclectic education, and a firm belief that
food should be interesting and fun!
Melissa's now provides the perfect
solution to the age old problem: What's for dinner?
In addition to our catering services we now offer
"Gourmet Foodie"
take-out from our shop at 487 Washington Street
in Norwood, Massachusetts. Drop in to our warm, friendly
shop and discover a wealth of delicious but healthy
menu items; entrees, salads, side dishes, soups and
sandwiches all prepared daily in our kitchen. For
outings , picnics, tailgating, etc. you can order
our very cool box lunches ( real "boxes"
containing a sandwich of choice, pasta or green salad,
fruit, chips, a cookie and condiments). We can also
tempt you with a variety of pastries and desserts
made exclusively for us by award winning pastry chef,
Susan Hoch. Call or email ahead and we will have your
order ready for curb-side pick up! Delivery may be
arranged for a small fee.
Melissa's Catering takes the term "full-service
caterer" to heart. We guarantee that the support
services we use (florists, rental companies, bar staff,
musicians, DJs, etc.) are as professional and committed
to excellence as we are.
